Good packed trail all the way up that held up well until noon. I did not take, nor did I need snowshoes, but spikes were helpful. The real crux is the stream crossing. After noon, the snow started getting pretty soft so anyone going up late probably would be wise to carry some sort of flotation.

What do you suggest? Thanks!

Snowshoes...     2013-05-22 12:01:49
... or maybe skis. Although the skiers that came down after me said it was getting pretty tough for them too. So I would think snowshoes would be the way to go.

Yep - got it. My 53rd time up it and it was on my 65th b/day so now I get the Senior Citizen discount on all future summits!

Yeah, Brandon. I confess that I am more than a little OCD about some things.....
