Chiefs Head/Pagoda Couloir

Post by joldham »

I'm looking for the condition this time of year for the Chiefs Head/Pagoda Couloir. Planning on doing Chiefs Head from Sandbeach Lake tomorrow and would like to decent through Glacier Gorge. I've read there is a concern of rock fall. Has anyone been there recently or at this time of the year? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

We were in the area Tuesday the 3rd, there is no snow. I have been up the Pagoda/Keyboard couloir which is loose. Chiefs Head/Pagoda is supposed to be worse.
