This is more of a video trip report. Brian C, myself, and David completed the 16th ascent of the Oracle in the Fisher Towers and the 11ish ascent of Fantasia (5.10X C2) since it's FA back in 1970 by Harvey T. Carter. The Oracle is one of the 5 major towers in the Fishers. (Cottontail, Echo, Titan, Kingfisher being the others) Brian and I have completed 4 of them in the past year. Hard to believe. This place is spectacular but we found this route to be pretty damn serious with lots of aid trickery and a very sandbagged aid rating, even for Fishers. (Props to Brian on that lead) Lot's of no fall sections on just about every pitch. (8 of them) For me, it was a good deal more serious and scary then the other 4 we've done. Still, one of the best adventures I've ever been apart of. Enjoy!

Re: Mud Climbing in the Fisher Tower's, Utah
As if none of us have ever come back with a cool, quasi-epic story instead of being victim to tragic rockfall, a fatal stumble, a heart attack, an embolism, a lightning strike, a bear attack, collapsing cornice, some psycho with an axe, a falling tree, carbon monoxide, even falling asleep at the wheel getting to a mountain. If you can't accept the fact that sometimes "s**t happens", then you live with the illusion that your epic genius and profound wilderness intelligence has put you in total and complete control of yourself, your partners, and the mountain. How mystified you'll be when "s**t happens" to you! - FM

Nice job, fellas--outstanding accomplishment! Thanks for the cool video, too. I'm curious -- when was the first ascent done?

Thanks! It was first done in 1970 by Harvey T. Carter and gang. Quite the route to be establishing at that day in time! Props to Harvey
