West Central Denver - maybe 3-4 inches; sidewalks shoveled themselves thanks to the heat of yesterday.
You've never really stopped even if you feel like you have.

My coworker who lives in Sunshine Canyon (west of Boulder) said that they got over a foot of snow. It is still snowing here in gunbarrel and we have about 5" or so.

Looking at a foot or so in the Eastern San Juans. The Sangres looked like they were getting hammered all day, too. Really wet and heavy but I was still punching through to the boiler plate underneath. Still snowing but settling fast.

Damn!! CB really gettin' it, wow. So sad the ski area is closed. Irwin must be insane also.

I heard Monarch has great conditions also and a good bit of snow. Also Aspen.

I think Wolf Creek got just pounded with a LOT of snow but alas, its also closed for the season. :(

Open ski resorts got scraps basically.

They might do a lot better in the NW flow with the colder air.

Almost 14" of fluffy powder here at home. Can't believe Eldora is only reporting 2" of new snow.

From the Valley of the Sun:
No snow here, but 45 mph wind Monday with copious blowing dust was a prelude to what Colorado received. NE of the Valley, Mount Ord (7,140 feet) snow-streaked on the mountain's west side. Rim country got up to a foot in widely-scattered areas. Good news - moisture needed pretty much everywhere.

Maybe someone in the San Juans can offer an update on "pink snow" from airborne dust originating in the Winslow area, where 68 mph gusts were recorded Monday..
Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content - Paul the Apostle.
Like it or not, I am a slow driver. Putt ... putt ... putt ...
Good day.

Hearsay of a white hat turned pink while hiking in the Lake City area last weekend. Firsthand, no pink snow at Wolf Creek.

The trend is good, right? This year's line reminds me of "The Little Engine That Could" for some reason. "I think I can, I think I can..."

The next few days may get us above the previous peak snowpack.

big snow this weekend too and looks stormy through the rest of april on the weather models...this is at least a good sign to try and lessen the impacts of the drought coming this summer.

Lake Dillon thawed out a year ago today, April 12. That was easily the earliest date ever, although the record doesn't go back that far. This year we've got a long way to go.

What really killed us last year was that the snow just stopped in early March and it warmed up early. This year winter arrived late and seems to be staying around late. We're not going to end up with a "normal" winter, but at least the left tail is off.
