East Face of Horn Pk (Sangres)

Post by lordhelmut »

Anyone seen the East side of Horn from Westcliff/Wet Mtn Valley lately? Anyone passing through there this week, or anyone who lives there, wanna take a quick shot?

What's it like to the Horn Peak TRailhead this time of year? Is that year round accessible TH?

Thanks in advance for any help/beta.

Drive to the TH is almost always open.
Cabins and Christian Camp
keep the road plowed.

It snowed Saturday morning and
then blew hard Sat eve and Sunday.
My camera needs a recharge and
the late evening back-light sucks anyway.
I may go to town tomorrow for a good pic.

Expect heavy deep snow to tree line.
Wind blown half barren above that.
Not a skiers delight.
But always awesome.

Stop by Chappys for an oak fire grilled
burger and a beer.

Piss Poor Quality.
Can't expect more
from a bonehead.
And not up close from town.
Maybe later today or tomorrow.
Sorry.
I'm about 15 miles away.

9am Tuesday.
Have fun. Pat
