Woah, 176 to 218 inches in 4 days ain't bad. Sounds like the total any central or northern CO resort had all of last year. Might make sense to wait until next weekend ya think? Looks like airfare to Reno or Sacramento then can be had for $300.

CA maritime snow. Wait 48 hours and it is bomber, unlike the death trap we all skirt around here. Oh wait, there is no snow here. I actually am not going out, but I sure am tempted.

Its called the Pineapple Train I guess. Starts on the islands of Hawaii and flows into Cali and NW bringing lots of moisture.

Thank you weather woman!

Depressing flying back over the mountains from Vegas today. East through North aspects have some snow, everything else is bare. At least if it does snow we are going to be basically starting over with the snowpack.

That is the positive I am trying to focus on. If things go right, it could actually make for a great second part of the winter and spring. Take note of where the snow is now though, because that is gonna be a mess later.

accuweather blog: "Unfortunately, the long-term prognosis isn't good. It really looks as if that particular area of the central and southern Rockies out into the central and much of the southern Plains will get little moisture for quite a while. In other words, the drought may well spread in the coming weeks, not shrink."

Accuweather calling for the drought to continue might be a sign that the pattern actually is changing. \:D/

Just kidding. It's never going to snow in CO ever again.

Bah humbug!

It'll snow again...when conditions suck this bad, it's bound to create low pressure.

There's certainly a major depression forming; too bad it's only at ground level.
