Mt Shasta is expecting between 176" - 218" of snow over 4 days!

Yeah, I posted that yesterday in the "Where is the SNOW!!!" thread. But I can see how it would be missed with 14 pages. Regardless, it's pretty amazing.

That forecast is pretty darn amazing. Unreal amounts of snow. That will never happen in Colorado, heck we are barely getting clouds. Hopefully we can squeeze a few inches in the next week. Everyone depends on it.

Tonight's forecast is still pretty other-worldly.
Windy, with a south southwest wind 80 to 90 mph increasing to 105 to 115 mph after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 29 to 35 inches possible.

"Windy" indeed.

Having spent significant time on both, I still defend the opinion that Shasta is a close 2nd to the most extreme weather on a big peak in the lower 48. Like Rainier, when it's good it's good, but when it is bad, you might was well be in Alaska.
