This is posted in the Calendar as well.
Currently 3 of us plan on hiking to treeline on Saturday, December 8th. Camping that night then hiking to the summit on Sunday the 9th. We will then come back down and either grab our gear and head back to the car or we will camp another night on Sunday depending how we feel. Mt. Massive is suppose to be a fairly safe climb in the winter and safety is going to be the number one priority. We are all pretty chill so anyone that wants to come along that would be great. It would also be fun to meet some more like minded individuals. We are going to bring crampons, ice axe, and snow shoes. Not sure if you really need an ice axe and crampons but snow shoes will be a must. You can rent them for $8 if you don't have a pair. I am toying with the idea of bring my skis. Let me know if you are interested or have any advice if you have done this one in the past. We currently are not planing on bringing avalanche beacons.
Need a climbing partner? Trying to form a hiking group for an outing?
