Finally - LNT. How many pages does one have to read before 6 people respond about proper disposal of the bulb?

Anyone interested in a Winter Lightbulb Gathering?

Maybe Dec 24, so we can hit some Christmas lights.

2 to talk about the light bulbs of the rest of the world and how changing an American bulb isn't really changing a bulb at all
1 to talk about the 20 watt bulbs in New Hampshire and how much better they are than Colorado 75 watt bulbs citing the one time in 1934 that one gave off 2,000 lumens.

Those are the required Summitpost.org members to change a light bulb.

Nobody has probably told him that changing a light bulb in view of the impending lightning storm may not be the brightest idea. But then, armed with the dubious degree from a third-tier state school (underscored by his inability to write even a remotely cohesive sentence) he may not be the brightest bulb in the chandelier to begin with...

Why are all the haters hating on the light bulbs?

5 members to point out that this only counts if the first bulb is at least 3000 millimeters off the floor, and each additional bulb in the strand is separated by 1/2 meter from the previous one with at least a 300 millimeter dip in the cord
1 member to indignantly insist that we not use the metric system

I was talking to Andy Hamilton on the summit of Holy Cross last month and discussing his efforts several years ago in setting the natural speed record for stringing lights on 54 trees in less than 20 hours. He said he'd hoped to one day try to repeat such a feat, but now with a family and children - he's content to let someone else try to break such records.

...and just one to smash the lightbulb so we can all have a little privacy while we poop on the summit.
