I've always wanted to get rid of the background in this picture and make it look like I wasn't 4 feet off the ground in the parking lot at Eddyline Brewery.......
I'm waiting for someone to make it look like this...hehe

Couldn't find an actual person climbing a meteor above a mountain range but... I understand he did all his own climbing for the film. I heard he even climbed that tower in the fourth one too.

Jenny, you have to realize that photography is serious business. You can't just photoshop whatever you want into an image. It just doesn't work that way. =;
Those guys go to great lengths to get the photos you see. It takes great sweat and toil. Sometimes risking their lives just for that one shot.
To think that you could just, say, photoshop yourself high up in the blue on some rock... well, please don't be offended, but honestly, it just doesn't work that way. [-(

Reminds me of a bit in Warren Miller's Storm, I believe, where they have footage following a skier through gorgeous powder on a semi tree-filled hill, and he says something along the lines of "if you think the skier is good, think about the cameraman skiing besides him with a camera to his eye and his head turned sideways."

Just remember, Ginger Rogers danced all the same steps as Fred Astaire . . . except she danced backwards . . . in high heels.

DUDE! I don't think I'll ever forget that. One minute I was watching thinking, 'oh that's cool'. Then he makes that comment and immediately I was mind blown.

2 awesome pictures in this thread too BTW.

Kafka ran into her and took this pic on a recent climb.

All he could do was bitch about her grandstanding and the horrible music she kept humming incessantly.

The camera doesn't lie... but the photographer does, especially with Photoshop!
The greater danger, for most of us, is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low, and we reach it.

Kafka wants to know if you're calling him a liar?

Just so you know, he's short tempered when someone impugns his character...

I found this...

which talks about it being a part of this...

I can't seem to watch video at work here though so I'm not sure. Corey Rich is an amazing adventure photographer though to be sure!
