what is the easiest quickest way to Navajo Lake Trailhead to climb El Diente form Ouray?
is the only way is to make the 1 hour trip to telluride then on to 145?

If you have a decent clearance 4wd, you could try Ophir Pass. The distance is much shorter, but I really don't think it would save much time. Taking Hwy 62 from Ridgeway is a very pretty drive anyway. Great views of the Dallas range with Sneffels.
