Huron to Missouri

Post by Muskie5280 »

Looking for a more specific route and distance on this than just "use Clohesy Lake.". Anyone have a GPS track or specific mileage amount to help out?

The Nat Geo map for this area, #129 - "Buena Vista, Collegiate Peaks", has a trail connecting the two via Cloyses lake for a low point at 11,000'. By the map I would say it's 4.5-6 trail miles between the two. The Missouri side of things is covered by this route: http://www.14ers.com/routemain.php?rout ... i+Mountain" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Sorry, I don't have any more info on if it's technical or what the exposure is like beyond that route.

I've done the route a number of times and might have a GPS track somewhere at home form the Clohesy Lake to Huron side. The Missouri side of it is really straight forward, trail to 12k, then hit the ridge and follow to Missouri. If you check out my Nolans14 trip reports from this year or last year I have some beta on the route in there as well. Feel free to PM me if you want a better description.
