How insensitive! Have you ever knit your own hat out of mountain goat wool that you have collected over 10 years? And then dyed it with Himalayan blueberries?

I'd guess that "Lakerstef" has never hand-knit anything...and has no idea how much time and love can go into a hat.

Hope that someone returns your hat - would love to see a photo of it when they do!

My wife is a knitter, so I understand the time that goes into making a homemade knit! I hope that you get it back. When you say that you nearly died on Evans, what happened?

nearly died = caught in a lightning storm ... i know, i know ... i should have hiked faster, i should have started earlier ... but hey, i got a cool tattoo out of the experience Image

no one returned my hat, so i knit a new one for my quandary summit and DIDN'T LOSE IT ... note - make sure you securely tuck your hand-knit hat into your backpack

thanks everyone
