This was taken eastbound on I-70 next to Avon last Friday.
Can someone please identify the pointed peak in the image?
Thanks!
Edit: Vail, not Avon.

Not sure, but I've heard of a lot of exciting adventures in the Gores. I do know not to get in a situation I can't get out of. (But isn't that what they all say? lol)EatinHardtack wrote:One of the Gores. Are you worthy?
It's close to Denver (wear I live) and it intrigues me.
Only two years of hiking under my belt but would love to head up with someone.

Did this peak on July 5th. Easy class II and trail starts in Vail. The trail to Deluge Lake is VERY steep though. Great views from the summit and Deluge Lake is a magical place.gdthomas wrote:Grand Traverse Peak

Just giving you a hard time. The Gore people love secrecy and I am not even one of them yet. Hope to be though.

Re: Peak ID Requested
There are a couple of ways to do it. I prefer to ascend from the Bighorn TH side then drop down to Deluge Lake on the descent. It works best with a car drop at both TH's but they are relatively close to each other.Barry Raven wrote:Did this peak on July 5th. Easy class II and trail starts in Vail.
