First Winter Ascent on Torre Egger

Post by SeracZack »

Had to share this. Wait 'til 0:46 in to it...

Little background info: Torre Egger is one of the mountains of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field in South America. It is located in a region which is disputed between Argentina and Chile, west of Cerro Chalten (also known as Fitz Roy). The peak is between Cerro Torre, the highest in a four mountain chain and Cerro Stanhardt.
Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Pretty awesome ascent! Patagonian climbs are brutal during the normal season so this is very impressive.
