Google Map appearing?

Postby nyker » Thu Apr 26, 2012 6:05 pm

Since the recent change, there is a google map that pops up on the peak home page..

Specifically, when I click on a peak from the home page, which brings me to that peaks page, there is a large seemingly embedded fragment Google-14ers map overlying the images on the left and obscuring the text (Towns, national forest and other data there...) which blocks viewing the photos and links underneath. How can I fix this?

The Google Map has been on individual peak pages for some time now but I do see what you're talking about when I click "compatibility mode" in Internet Explorer. The map shows up behind the text and links.

This doesn't happen with Firefox, Safari, Chrome or IE in regular mode that I can tell. I'll say it again............
FRIGGIN' INTERNET EXPLORER!

I'll look into a change that will make "compatibility mode" happy.

Sorry for the hassle

Or people should just stop using IE. ;)

Thanks Bill

I hear you about Explorer! MS has really gone downhill these past few years..don't even get me started on what they've done with MS Office Products....ugh..
