Need a suggestion
I am flying into Denver next weekend with my dad, and looking for some day hike ideas. He injured a calf muscle a month ago, so 4-5mi round trip and 1500-2000ft elevation gain is probably the most he can handle. We’re staying in Pueblo, so I’m looking for anything south of I70 and no farther west than hwy 9 out of Breckenridge. Hoosier Pass up to Hoosier Ridge is the only idea I have so far, but I’m assuming we’d need snowshoes there, and my dad doesn’t own any. Is there a place to rent them in Breckenridge this time of year? Any other ideas for scenic hikes welcome! Thanks

Sniktau, starting from Loveland Pass. Might not even need snowshoes.
Closer to Pueblo, you could try Greenhorn Mtn. Not sure when the road opens.
