CO Native is SAR, I think he would just rather not have to go out in it unless it is by choice.

There's a cool Pacific-ocean satellite animation here that shows the monster storm coming up to stomp on us right now:

It looks like there's another one behind it SE of Hawaii; fingers crossed...

nice! i've been viewing the same thing by clicking on the windom peak every so often during the past 24-36 hours. each time it prompts me to chuckle at the numbers. mind blowing!....and to think they were predicted to be higher 12-18 hours ago.

Lucky devils  I'm stuck here in Michigan. At least we'll get some of the same storm. We're expecting 2 to 4" on Saturday night. I know, I know, laugh if you must

maybe I'll get lucky and be able to go snow shoeing on Sunday morning but I'll need 6" for that... no chance :? .

Silverton was going to open today, but had to stay closed due to high winds and power outages. Oh, yeah, and 36" of new snow this morning. Wolf Creek reports 32" on their web site.

Ah...Life is Good. Oh, wait. I've gotta work this weekend.
Anyone wanna hit up Wolfie later this week?

It sounds like it's gonna take a while for Silverton Mtn. to get set up again. All their roping is buried, and the county plows got stuck on the road to the base!
