I have limited rock climbing experience but managed to cross the sawtooth to Evans without any issues. Longs was also relatively simple. Have spent some good time in the high country bagging peaks. Just curious...

If the weather is OK, it is not that difficult. I did it last Friday with two other guys with zero experience at rock climbing. If you just hold on nothing will happen. It is somewhat exposed however.

That is some pretty cool footage. Looks steeper than I imagined but as you say, there is probably some visual illusion with the camera. Great shots!

Bill - These videos are awesome! Thanks for sharing!
. . .Now, after the hours of torment . . . I have nothing more to do than breathe . . .I am nothing more than a single, narrow, gasping lung, floating over the mists and the summits.

Yes, thank you Bill! This is definitively the best footage I've ever seen of the knife-edge.

Awesome... hey, I just had an idea, when you return to Chicago Basin to do Eolus, you should reclimb Sunlight and helmetcam the final moves. That would be sooooo sweet! Just an idea, probably for next year (I would imagine).

Bill, Crossed the knife edge on the way to the summit earlier this month. Your footage will help some of my flatlander friends here in PA see what climbing in CO is all about. Thanks for sharing

I found the scooting method quite awkward. It was much easier to hang on to the top of the ridge hand over hand and allow your body to hang off to the left side and feel for footholds.

If you want a belay, you both rope up and then if your partner falls you jump over the other side...make sure you bring your prusiks, and time everything right!

Sweet. You just gotta do this on Little Bear-Blanca traverse! I wonder what the 8mm will do to that exposure??
