I'm 1 for 2 - just got to the top on Saturday morning (for sunrise). Started at midnight on both and finished the climb in about 10 hrs on the 2nd try. Truly an awesome climb, but when attempting it in the dark and with gale force winds, its not for the faint of heart!

Same here, I've been very lucky in that every attempt has led to a 14er summit. Twice I've had to say no to the 2nd planned summit. I'll get you, Kit and Sunshine!

Anyway, also 1 for 1 with Longs. An absolutely triumphant day, though the weather on my descent made me fear for my life more than the mountain ever did. It's one mountain that I'd love to visit again in as many different ways as possible (camping at the Boulderfield, the Loft, hike to Chasm, up Glacier Gorge, etc).

I remember Long's very well. Did it in one long day.
Refused to be turned back by forming storm clouds.
Nailed the summit only to crawl to the register.....
hair beginning to stand on end. Got down to
the keyhole and hid in the rocks while lightning
bolted sideways rock to rock. The most exciting day
of my life ! Not one using the most wisdom.

Perhaps several attempts equals longer life !! :D :D
