Hi everyone from Lukla, Nepal. I hope to catch a flight to Kathmandu and back to Colorado starting tomorrow. Thanks for your kind comments. I am still in shock at our Everest times - 7:40 from South Col to summit and 3:20 back. Once there the wind chills were brutal 40 mph with -20F. In other words a normal 14er summit :) Seriously it was an incredible experience that can be summarized in one word: humbling. Denali is next at the end of June.

Congrats, and nice humor with the on it being "just another summit"

That was good.

I've taken longer on some fourteeners!

Now you have the tough part. Dealing with airport security and being jammed in a series of tin cans for endless hours at a time. Each time being stripped of your water and it goes on for days! It’s like waking up and finding out you’re on one of those pirate ghost ships where the crew is cursed to spend eternity! You’ll be thinking it was easier riding out a storm in a tent on the mountain!

Have a save trip home!

Congrats you stud! I think it's awesome that Everest was your training for Denali. I am working in Fairbanks for the week and DNP is gorgeous!
