It depends on the wind, temperature, and humidity, but the Wet Mountain Valley is clear today and hopefully will continue to be clear tomorrow according to the forecasted wind direction. Tuesday the valley had a thick haze but was gone by the evening. As long as the winds continue to be calmer or move in an easterly direction the valley will remain clear. You can view wind speed and direction on multiple weather websites such as mountain-forecast. Be safe and have fun.

Anyone know if Hwy 96 is open? I think it might have been closed somewhere between Wetmore and Westcliffe a while ago because of the Junkins fire

EDIT: Closed, as of now. Might reopen Thurs afternoon

Have the sangres received any snow this week? Considering LB on Saturday, let me know if you might be interested in joining.

Nothing but sunshine and above average temps. The nearest chance for precipitation in the forecast is Wednesday.

California Peak was bone-dry Saturday. We could see the smoke from the fire in the distance. No clouds but windy.
