An article in the Leadville Herald Democrat, dated April 25, 2013, indicates that "Repeater Peak", a soft-ranked 13er which is located between Mosquito Pass and Mosquito Peak, has now been officially named Kuss Peak after Adolph Kuss Sr. The article states that he was a Leadville native and miner who made numerous contributions to Leadville and Lake County, including serving as a Lake County commissioner for twelve years, serving on the Leadville City Council and serving as the first manager at Cooper Hill.
It should be noted that the caption for the photo that accompanies the article is incorrect. Mosquito Peak is immediately to the left (north) of Kuss Peak with Treasurevault Mountain to the left of Mosquito Peak. Also the elevation for the peak given in the article differs slightly from the accepted elevation.
