Considering Mt Ouray 6/30 from the Marshall Pass - West Ridge route. It is south of Shav/Tab which seems to be mostly clear. Anyone been on this route lately? Or any info on Marshall Pass conditions? Really wanna try this but would hate to drive all the way there and find out conditions aren't ideal for my lack of snow equipment.
Thanks!

Re: Mt Ouray snow-free?
Here's a pic I snapped of Ouray (in the foreground) from atop nearby 13er Antora a week or so back...looks mostly snow-free. On Antora the only trouble we ran into was just below and above treeline. Bring an axe if you're really worried, but I doubt you'd need anything else.

Re: Mt Ouray snow-free?
I did the west ridge route on Ouray 2 weeks ago, it wasn't completely snow free, but it was getting close. There were some beat down snow patches on the road approach. The road then crosses a cattle guard and parallels a fence for 1/4 mile or so. Where the fence starts to turn up the mountain more leave the road (there is a small dirt pullout there too) and follow the fence line to where it fizzles out, then straight up to treeline. There were some short snowy patches along the fence, but as the trees thinned the snow went away and it was dry to the summit.
