DeCaLiBro on Friday?

Postby BronxZ » Wed Sep 19, 2012 11:04 am

Hello all:

I'm looking to do the DeCaliBro hike starting early in the morning this Friday, September 21st.

Anyone interested? I'd much prefer to go with a few people.

Hmmm. Good question.

Just thought I'd like to get an early start -- but wasn't dead set on any SPECIFIC starting time. I guess after the sun comes up, but before 8am?? Though I'm open to whatever.

ANy idea if there's snow up there yet? I'm thinking of heading up early Saturday if you end up changing dates. Coming from North Denver.

I'm flying out of Denver Saturday morning ... so Friday's my last shot.

I'll try to post an update of trail conditions at the end of the day Friday re: snow.

Nothing of any significance as of Saturday. There was a thin layer of snow on parts of the trail near the top of Lincoln, and again over by Bross. Nothing on the peaks that would in any way constitute "snow conditions". I hiked it in shoes, and didn't get my feet wet.

Correct. In Denver for business.

Still looking for any takers on a hike tomorrow (Friday).

I promise not to bring up the Yankees during said hike. 8)

Doing the full DeCaLiBro combo hike, I'm sure there's time for the Yankees to come up.

I was thinking about starting from Kite Lake around 7:30 or so. Still looking for anyone to come with.

I've had a few people ask if I would go on Saturday instead of Friday.

I would -- except I'm flying back home early Saturday morning. So Friday's all I got.

I actually will be doing the DeCaLiBro tomorrow morning, solo. I was planning on getting to the trail head between 6:30 and 7am. Leaving Denver around 4am. Might be to late to connect on this forum, but if you get this maybe we'll connect in the morning. My name is Jason.

I should be there around then. Perhaps we'll meet up.
