Anyone interested in driving/backpacking on Sat, Aug 13 and hiking El Diente on Sun, Aug 14 from the Kilpacker trail?

when are you leaving, and when do you have to be back?

Leaving 8am on Saturday morning.....6 hours to drive from Denver to the Kilpacker trailhead.....3 hours to backpack to the campsite on Saturday evening. That will give us approximately 3 hours to setup camp before sundown.

On Sunday, hike El Diente at 5:30am.......it could take us up to 8-10 hours to hike the mtn. Take a break at the campsite.....backpack out. Probably be home late Sunday night. I plan on eating some where on the drive home to recover a little and break up the long drive back to Denver.

I am interested. This is perfect! I am going to the Wilson's this weekend. I do not think I am up to doing all three peaks. I would love to join, takes the pressure off me to do all three this weekend. Keep me posted.

Depending on weather I would also be interested! Any interest in also traversing to Mt. Wilson?

Hey Will,

Already did Mt. Wilson. It is a good mountain...and on the top...there is a sweet class 4 move that will give you a rush.

IM me your digits and I'll ring you wednesday to talk details on El Diente....if you're still interested.

Will - I have not spoken to Frank yet, but I was hoping for the same. If things don't work out in that area, I'd be up for a traverse from El D to Wilson (or vice versa) and have some ideas/thoughts on timing and routes. PM me if you want to discuss!
