Baclava?

Postby iholdthepain » Thu Nov 14, 2013 4:46 pm

I've been looking at getting a ColdAvenger in an effort to keep from huffing cold air and to prevent my goggles from fogging and weighing down on my nose... Unfortunately, the wife said it would make me look too creepy... Any suggestions?

I think Baclava is a desert :-D
I find a simple buff to work the best.

What a crummy way to stay warm in the winter.

I've gone out in the 'buff' before, and found it quite breezy...

Buffs work well but can restrict breathing IMO. I have a fleece-lined mask from Screamers with some breathing cutouts that works well, and it's cut to go under goggles without any gaps. Works well enough.

Hard to beat baklava though.

It's a desert too, over by the Gobi, little known but a nice desert nevertheless.

Thank you. The raping of the English language in this thread is too much to stand.

IMO, a Cold Avenger would be way overkill for Colorado. Alaska maybe, or Antarctica, but not Colorado. I wear a balaclava and goggles and don't have my goggles fog up. Maybe you need better goggles?

Just rub a little bacon grease on your face, you'll be fine.

Get yourself a shemagh (for example: http://www.zephyrpaintball.com/product/ZS-2430-SHEMAGHTAN/Zephyr-Sports-Shemagh-Tactical-Desert-Scarf---Tan--Black.html?meta=GAW&metacpg=ZS-2430-SHEMAGHTAN&gclid=CI21m7H85boCFYgWMgod034Aeg)

Theyre 4ft x 4ft, which makes a nice little blanket/cover/canvas when needed, and can be folded in many ways so you can find whats comfortable given the weather situation and season. All for around $10
Some rise, some fall, some climb to get to terrapin
