Winter boots for plantar fasciitis?

Postby Alpine » Tue Nov 13, 2012 4:46 pm

I am thinking of getting my wife some winter hiking boots but she does have plantar fasciitis.

Are there any good quality boots out there that will provide the required support?

I am looking for something that she can wear on local hiking trails like in RMNP, IPW, etc., but not looking for anything on the mountaineering end.

Thanks.

I would check into Salomon's boot line, specifically boots with Molded EVA, EVA shaped footbed, OrthoLite. I've battled plantar fasciitis and they seem to keep it at bay.
I'm just pretending to be a poseur.
