Get scraped up less when you crash (on a bike primarily but also trail running so some extent), easier to clean wounds, easy to put on sunscreen, easier to get massages.

Also keeps the hairs from sticking out of my pantyhose.

Security is mostly a superstition. It does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure, or nothing.

Meh. You don't have to get up at 4am to workout indoors to get big calves...

I'm curious as to what benefit is achieved by shaving. Is it an aerodynamic thing?

That picture makes your thighs look smaller than your calves haha

Sorry Bean, but those calves do nothing for me at all.

If I'm gonna do any work for better calves, I'd rather have these when I'm done.

I invented the 5.10 workout. 1000 sit ups a week, 1000 push ups a week and all the cardio you can handle, hiking, biking, walking. In one year I went from climbing 5.7 to 5.10 ( LEADING) hence the name.

I do that before I wake up.
