I don't know if I've posted in this thread before, but my tastes have changed drastically since I moved to the northwest and now know what a properly-brewed IPA tastes like. I don't know if the altitude affects the hops, but I can't stand most IPA's from Colorado breweries. Call me a traitor if you want, but that's how it is :P So, some new favorites include:

The Immortal IPA (Elysian ... I've not had a beer I don't like from them)
Hop Czar (Bridgeport)
Total Domination (Ninkasi ... probably the hoppiest beer I've ever tasted and enjoyed)
Inversion IPA (Deschutes Brewery)

Of those, Hop Czar is probably my favorite :-D

If you like IPAs, this is on the horizon from the local (to me) brewery:

Coming in early 2013 http://instagram.com/p/S8Wu_gj3mZ/ though there's already a review of a test batch http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/423/87784

Then there's the collaboration with the local coffee biz a brief walk from the brewery due out in a few months: a coffee ale

One of the "limited release" smokestacks will be coming out soon too; the Rye on Rye which uses barrels from the makers of Templeton Rye Whiskey out of Iowa (some of you got a sample of this at the Fall Gathering).

Their Double-Wide IPA (smokestack series; bombers and 4-packs) and Single Wide IPA (12oz) are available year-round.

Boulevard's Beer Finder for local (e.g. Colorado) retailers.

Recently had the pleasure of putting down a Great Divide Claymore Scotish Ale. Pretty great, and it's got me interested in trying more from this brewer.

Has anyone tried boulevards chocolate ale? Boy. It sold out in a week. Also, be carefull with that rye on rye. A bottle of that will have you on the floor.

Fine. I admit it. I drank a bottle of rye on rye last year and ended up parallel with the ground instead of the normal perpendicular. Rough night.

The '11 is good with a year of age on it.

The '12 is horrid, kinda like Voodoo Maple Bacon Donut, but worse. Maybe aging it will help but I will not be buying another, way overhyped IMO.

Blasphemy!! The maple bacon donut is the ultimate marriage between salt/sweet (especially later at night after the bars close)!

Yes, the beer, the beer that comes in a pink bottle of asstasticness. If mtnfiend is talking about the beer, I've misjudged his character badly.

The actual donut is HEAVEN.
