Weather Gadgets

Does anyone use a Kestrel device for measuring temperatures and wind speeds above treeline or can anyone recommend something along those lines?

I purchased a Brunton ADC last May that turned out to be a Brunton POS so I returned it after one use. The anemometer worked fine but the temperature gauge was worthless - it took forever to stabilize and there was no "ready" indicator.

Thanks in advance.

I was looking at several of these gadgets over the weekend. One (forget the Brand) does tempurature, windspeed, and Barimetric pressure and was running about $150. I would like all these functions so I can messure tempurature, windspeed and use the barimetric pressure for my GPS Altimeter.

Does anyone have suggestions on brands as I am interested too?
