stupid, but she still gets to go to the mountains from time to time
You can't make all the people happy all the time, but 90% of the people I run across with her on trails seem to think she is alright. I keep her on leash when in crowds, I pick up after her, and she will not chase wildlife if I tell her not to. I would love for most of the people with kids on 14ers to claim the same.
