Weber Fire (Mancos)

FYI for those thinking of heading to Durango, silverton, or Chicago Basin: the weber fire is spreading ash and smoke quickly.

the smoke plume is clearly visible on weather sat images and the smoke is already up into gunnison county now.

It was very smoky between Gunni and Lake City Sat. around 6PM -- however, neither Gunni or Lake City had much smoke. The worst area was just north of the Hinsdale County line in southern Gunnison County. SJ Ron

There are actually three fires in the Durango vicinity. The Weber fire, the Stateline Fire and the Little Sand Fire between Bayfield and Pagosa. Going to be a long summer...dryer than a popcorn fart.
