Panorama Hosting?

Postby TallGrass » Thu Aug 15, 2013 11:35 pm

Any good free hosts out there? Former host has closed up shop. Nice in that that they had flat, tubular (e.g. summit pano), and spherical; simple upload (I don't need stitching software); and nice in-pano' navigating. Alas...
Not sure if I'll do more 14ers. The trip reports are too tiring.

V0MIT had some pretty cool panos posted with this one... The basic one is free, hopefully that'll cover what you need.

If you use microsoft ice to create the panorama you can then load it to photosynth.

Here is a link to one of mine:

You can also embed them in websites like I did here (about 3/4 of the way down):

Learn how to use Hugin. Very simple for a basic pano, but extremely powerful when you want to optimize everything.

Then you can host anywhere...though a full-resolution 360 degree panel will be ~100 mb and won't display well (or at all) through image hosting sites.
