14ers Posters/Prints

Post by Aug_Dog »

For years I have been doing the matte work and framing concert posters. Well, I don't actually build my frames, but I do all the matte work in laying my prints, etc. My basement is literally COVERED with Phish, Wilco, Umphrey's, String Cheese frames posters with ticket stubs, etc.

I really want to start building my own frames and what better way to do so than framing some really awesome 14er/13ers shots. I want to start with a really nice shot of Wetterhorn. I'm happy to spend a little cash, but I don't want to spend a fortune.

I found this print and I LOVE it, but it's a little spendy for the size I want. (Sorry Allison Stewart if you're out there and see this)

Do any of you have links to cool places to get a hold of good prints or do any of you have extremely high res photos you'd be open to sharing?

Also, if you have cool framed 14ers or mountain posters/prints, let's see them!!

Some very good prints in there. Very expensive, though.

This isn't really what you're looking for, but if you like retro style artwork at all, you should check out Ranger Doug's website/online store. He's copied the old WPA style from the FDR days. He has a lot of items for National Parks, and a couple of specific 14ers. I believe Longs is the only one he has from Colorado though: http://www.rangerdoug.com/rocky-mountain-national-park" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Here is a link to Photos of 14ers that I believe you can buy. Also, the photographer is a member on this site.
