One from the fall

Postby yorksman » Thu Jan 19, 2012 1:24 pm

Since I have a great deal of time on my hand these days, lately I have been looking thru files from this past year and working on images that I have previously passed over. No need to mention what is in this image, I had hoped to hike back to this location after a fresh snowfall but never got the chance.

Wow. Just wow. I love this state! =D>
Mountains cast spells on me - Why, because of the way Earth-heaps lie, should I be Chocked by joy mysteriously; stilled or drunken-gay? Why should a brown hill trail Tug at my feet to go? Why should a boggy swale Tune my heart to a nameless tale Mountain marshes know?

Very nice! Where's the vantage point? (I could probably figure it out with a map, but I'm a bit herp derp today).

Right here of course! :D

The vantage point is PT11,675 a.k.a Loge Peak right at the top of the Loge Peak lift at Aspen Highlands.

Very nice. Very, very nice!

Fine image, Jody. I admire the work ethic that you and other great landscape photographers who leave the trail behind and climb up and down untraveled peaks in the dark, to bring home an image that we can all look at and say "ahhh." It's like being there in the moment. Nicely done.

Nice work, Jody. You have a knack finding great vantage points. This shot with a dusting of fresh snow would have been amazing.
