Good shots of the final pitch on Eolus

Post by djkest »

I'm afraid I was too uh, concerned with my safety and I forgot to take pictures of the climb post-catwalk on Eolus. Anyone have some good pictures they would like to share of the blocky, rocky, ledgy finale to Eolus?

I have a bunch. They all have me in them, but I think you'll find that adds to the photos.

You're welcome.

Do nothing in haste, look well to each step, and from the beginning think what may be the end.'" - Edward Whymper

Thanks man! Nice pics. The ones looking down on you from above do well to illustrate the steepness/exposure of this section. I liked the one of you on top of Eolus curled up in the fetal position.

ETA: Nice planking on the catwalk!

Ditto. I took like 3 pictures, all at the summit. Fortunately, my partners GF took quite a few from the catwalk, but have none on the climb itself.

These are great, thank you also ... except I don't think I'll be putting the planking photos in my scrapbook, but looks like you had fun with it

Have you checked out the Eolus Route on the site, including the Stash photos?

Also some great shots. Good lighting in your pics. For me it was socked in pretty good early and it started to clear, but not fully until I was off the summit. Thanks also.

I suppose those are OK too.

Now that I think of it, most of your site photos seem to have pretty good lighting and conditions. Did you make multilple trips on some of these peaks to get good conditions / pics?
