Check out f-stop camera bags - Pricey but high quality systems designed for both camera and adventure gear. You can put different inserts in the bag to fit whatever camera setup you want to carry, then the rest of the bag is available for anything else. Designed and fits more like a backpacking pack that can safely carry your camera.
