mount quandary- Thanks. I'm more than happy to provide the settings for my photos, and I'm sure many others on here would do the same. By the way, there's some great night sky photos on the Night Sky Pictures thread if you haven't seen it yet.

:) Oh you can bet I've been lurking on the Night shots as well! Looks like I have 1 yr. to practice & improve my night shots...we are coming back next year!! I am thrilled beyond words!! and to have my new camera will be amazing!! thanks again!!

Can't touch the contrast in lighting that you pulled off in the photo above, though. Nice.

I am unable to walk away from the mountain without climbing it. An unclimbed mountain tugs at my consciousness with the eternal weight of time itself. Until I've pressed my face into it's alpine winds, hugged it's ancient granite walls, and put it's weathered summit beneath my heal I'm unable to resist it's attraction.Knowing nature gives the mountain more time than she gives us adds urgency to the obsession. As has been said before; the mountain doesn't care.

It can wait forever. I cannot.
