Thanks Jim, I appreciate it. I took that picture of Hilltop Mill from the window of my Jeep as I drove through the Leavick site. The pic had been buried untouched in the forgotten folder with 1000s of other pics. I salvaged it for this thread and your Leavick thread. Amazing how a little "POW" can bring a photo back to life. In the past I did not enjoy editing in PP but the Nik Color EFEX filters that I recently purchased have shown me the light (or brought me to the dark side).
So from Chaco, to Longs, to Angels Landing, and from Mesa Verde to Nepal, there are a number of great photographs posted here. These are really inspiring to see. A bit of advice to some of the photographers here is to use the histogram and watch your highlights (esp in cloud and on snow) and shadows. Dial in some on-camera exposure compensation when needed.
I kind of went crazy again with the Nik filters this evening. Here are a few more pics edited using Nik Color EFEX filters in Capture NX2. Filters used include vignette, dark and lighten center, tonal contrast, glamour glow, skylight.
