Lost Creek Wilderness

I was curious how the LCW was impacted by the recent storms. If anyone has any info they would share, I would be grateful. Thanks.

Not impacted that much at all. My company has a new fishing ranch up in the Tarryall area. Not that much up there on the previous storms.

I was up there two weeks ago, all trails are in great shape.

Was on Rolling Creek, Wigwam, Mcurdy Park, Brookside-Mcurdy, Colorado Trail. The only hiccup was the busy beavers on Wigwam.

I was up there on Saturday for North and South Twin Cone and Mount Blaine, from Kenosha Pass. My Suzuki SX4 made it all the way up to the 4WD section, and other than a light dusting of snow on the north and west slopes of South Twin Cone, the area and surrounding peaks were completely dry.

I was up there this weekend, we just did an out-&-back on Wigwam. The trail was in great shape and the weather was awesome.

Went up the Ute Creek trail on Sunday 13Oct. Dry as a bone.

Any hassles with road closures near the Tarryall Reservoir?

Given that this past Sunday was part of a Holiday weekend, there were no hassles at all. It looked to me like the road was pretty much done from Tarryall to Ute Creek but shoulder work still needed to be done. Ran into a guy that came up from Lake George and he said they had it down to one lane for a while but he texted me Monday that it was OK when he went back home Monday afternoon. I tried to find an update on the Park County website but had no luck and CDOT didn't even reference it.

I was up there this weekend. Came from the North via Ben Tyler trailhead. No issues, minus the trail being a little wet about three miles in where some springs and streams seem to have found the path of least resistance as going down said trail. Otherwise it was dry and no damage to trail system there.
