i just got off the phone with Aspen Valley Medical. Jeff is en route to Swedish right now. They would not (for obvious reasons) elaborate on the extent of his injuries. I've been in contact with the other members of his climbing party since this ordeal began on Saturday, but I'm not at liberty to discuss the details. All that matters is that Jeff is alive, and please know that it was other members of this 14ers.com community who went above and beyond to make sure that he got immediate medical attention from local SAR.

Jeff probably spent the night on the side of a mountain in freezing temperatures and with multiple injuries. Hats off to everyone who was involved in making sure he got off that mountain alive... you have all of our gratitude.

Please keep Jeff in your thoughts and prayers for speedy recovery.

Jeff, you're in m prayers. I wish you a quick recovery!
You cannot stay on the summit forever; you have to come down again. So why bother in the first place? Just this: What is above knows what is below, but what is below does not know what is above. One climbs, one sees. One descends, one sees no longer, but one has seen. There is an art of conducting oneself in the lower regions by the memory of what one saw higher up. When one can no longer see, one can at least still know. - Rene Daumal

Sending good vibes in Jeff's direction! I climbed La Plata with him a few years ago and worked with him at LM as well. He's a good guy.

Thinking about you and praying for you Jeff.
Just the other day Mustafa Davis and I were
talking about the perpetrator that tried to hijack
theJeep at Little bear. That was funny:)
We ended up firing the engineer and architect of the
cabins at Lake Como ,what were they thinking?
Hurry up and get better we have more log jams to cross,
Serial killers to meet
and tent poles to chase down snowy ice fields
If you need some high dollar cologne to take an Italian
shower for the nurses let us know
Hurry up and get better Jeff we have things to do !
