Alpine boots vs. Mountaineering boots

Postby livetothemax96 » Wed May 18, 2011 2:58 pm

I have both alpine boots (Technica ICON TNT xl) and mountaineering boots (Koflach Degre Red). I have never skied with the Degres and was wondering how they would perform in the back country compared to my other boots? Thanks

Both will work. Sort of. What you really want are AT boots.

Exactly. Now is a good time of year to find a used pair that someone is trying to unload (but it sounds like you might be trying to make do with the boots you already have).
