There is a tradition with Adams State cross country camp where they dunk you in the falls. Not when its frozen, of course, but there are always little patches of ice still lying around. Quite an experience.
Are those....Vans?
I'm not quite sure who they were. If I remember, they were blasting Bob Marley and tried climbing up the falls. I don't know what made them think they could get up ice.
LOL, that's awesome. I think I saw them on Holy Cross not too long ago.

Doubtful. Richard Derkase got out more often than you.

That's not very nice

I've been to Zapata falls a couple times but never thought about seeing it frozen. Don't suppose you could post a pic?

I have that atlas. Forget all about it. Haven't looked at it for a couple of years. Been using the Nat Geo maps. Pulled it out and will be checking out all of those hikes around La Veta and Cuchara.

Thanks to Jay for helping me reduce the file size of some photos so I could post them. I wasn't going to add these since someone else already added their's, but here are a couple more pics of a frozen Zapata Falls. I could only attach three and one of them wouldn't upload because it was apparently too large at 96KB. Jay shrunk their file size for me with his PC and explained how he did so, however, I have a Mac and his method won't work with the OS I use, so if anyone knows how to reduce the size of photo/video files using a Mac, please PM me because I just can't figure it out. Or I'll just send Jay all my photos that are too large to post and he'll reduce their size for me...Just kidding Jay, I wouldn't do that to you. Thanks again.

Trying a 96KB file that was denied before Bill just made a change to the system.

The status bar says it worked this time, thanks Bill!
