Yes, but its regulated due to proximity. Forest land includes Mt Evans area and Indian Peaks. During summer you have stayed in established areas or have a backcountry permit.
You can camp for free on any National Forest Land as long as it doesn't state no camping which is 99% of the land, there are a few exceptions like mentioned above.
