Here's the photo, without being distorted by that page. There looks to be a chair or sign with writing on the lower right, in addition to the houses:

doesn't look the anyplace I can recognize, don't think it's near Georgetown..

I'm 100% sure it's colorado. And I agree those kind of look like buildings. After some more research, I feel like the San Juans, possibly near telluride, looks like a possible match. I'll keep searching.
