Bison Peak conditions

I was wondering if anyone knows what the current snow conditions are like on BIson Peak- the southern route from the Ute Creek Trailhead. Is the path packed down and recognizable or will I be breaking trail? I've never hiked this peak, but I'm assuming that there probably typically wouldn't be much of an avalanche risk. Is that correct? Also, is the Tarryall Road easily passable this time of year? Thanks a lot for your help.

I can't tell you the conditions but the avalance danger is extermely low (if not non-existant) and the road is open year-round.

There's a group climb planned for 2/11/12. You should join us, its a spectacular mountain.

I hiked it this spring and I'm also interested in the current conditions as I'd like to do a winter hike. The road is full of potholes and very rough.

We attempted Platte Peak yesterday but turned back just below treeline due to a late start and there being only 2 of us breaking trail, didn't have a team of rockstars breaking trail like last year!
