Mount Jasper

Thinking about climbing Jasper in the IPW on Saturday and researching several routes. The one I have my eye on currently is the Storm Lake approach or a ridge run north from Devil's Thumb Pass.

IMO most of the best routes on Mt Jasper are snow routes/climbs. Most routes start from 4th of July TH, as Hessie TH has such limited parking. A couple of my friends did this route in early summer and had cornices to deal with, but now there shouldn't be any. The ridge looks easy and doable. Will look forward to some pics of that part of the ridge as I'm planning a traverse through there one of these years.

The ridge from Twin Thumbs seems like a nice walk:

I agree, I'm saving this one for either a snow climb or a loop starting at Neva's N. Ridge.
