Another non-problem suggestion here.

It would be supercool to have elevation profiles of the GPX tracks uploaded with trip reports. Probably right under the map.

You'd think there would be a freely available gpx->jpeg profile generator. The closest I can find (will keep looking) is this:

Actually, the output should probably be in SVG, which might be even easier.

I've always just taken a screen grab from Google Earth then cropping it for upload. Still a little bit of a process but I think it works well.

But now with the screenshot feature on the Note II and BackCountry Navigator, I just snap it and upload it. Still not a one click with the gpx upload thing though.
