Weather Forecast Recent Issues

Post by mikefromcraig »

When I used to check the 14ers.com weather for the different peaks it would normally say "snowfall 1-2 inches" or "snowfall 3-5 inches." For the last week or so it is saying "rainfall 1/10 to 1/4 inches." I never recall the forecast calling for rain in the middle of winter before.

And over the weekend, when it was forecasting 1/10 to 1/4 inches of rain every day on Greys, I understand I70 around that area got a significant amount of snow.

There was some kind of change in the 14ers.com weather links about a week ago. "You are using an SSL connection weather.gov may not allow..." Did this have some kind of effect on the forecast itself?

Thanks
